Windows 8.1 ISO

Der normale Upgrade Pfad von Windows 8 zu 8.1 bietet nicht an, ein Installationsmedium zu erstellen. Wenn etwas schief geht oder man weitere Rechner updatet kann man die ganzen Daten nochmals runterladen. Es sei denn...

  1. Start Browser on the PC to update (e.g Win7, wont work for Win8)
  2. Head over to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/upgrade-product-key-only
  3. Scroll down and click Install Windows 8 (This will trigger the installer assistant).
  4. Enter your Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro or Windows 8 Upgrade product key, and confirm the download.
  5. As soon as it starts downloading, close the installer assistant from the (X) in the top-right corner.
  6. Go back to the Microsoft Windows upgrade page, click Install Windows 8.1, and download the newer installer assistant.
  7. Run the newer install assistant.
  8. When the download is complete, you can choose to create the media (ISO or USB).
