History of my QNAP TS-419PII

  • Started with 2 disks WD20EARX as RAID1 2012-01-14
  • Added another WD20EARX at 2012-01-31
[2 disk raid1 to 3 disk raid5 failed?]
  • Discovered high Load_Cycle_Count. This fix needs optware QPKG
ipkg update

ipkg install make

tar xzvf idle3-tools-0.9.1.tgz
cd idle3-tools-0.9.1.tgz

./idle3ctl -g105 /dev/sd[abc]

./idle3ctl -s300 /dev/sdc
# unplug sdc, wait for qnap to ack
# replug sdc, wait for resync to finish
# repeat for sda and sdb
